Thank you for posting this Nazneen. I have had similar experiences with family members. In my case it lasted for years. I have grown past the bitterness, but thought my situation was unusual until I took a class on the Sociology of the Family a few years ago. What a shock! People do need to understand how large this problem is.

Reminds me of the famous old song: Raahi manwa dukh ki chintha kyon sathathi hai, dukh tho apnaa saathi hai, Sukh hai ik chawn dalthi aathi hai jaathi hai, dukh to apnaa saathi hai.

Sorrow is but our constant companion so why to worry about it, happiness comes and goes, but sorrow is our constant companion....

Sorrow is what gives depth and dimension to poetry, art and gives life it real worth.....

Use this companionship to explore, understand, renew, express, expose, and reinvigorate yourself.....

You are the sum of all your experiences, feelings and much much more...something that only you can know and understand and relate to....

We are but waves in the same ocean of life, why must we clash against each other, when we can mingle and be one....

Sorrow and happiness are two shores touched by the same ocean but they are still an ocean apart and het connected....

Realize your dept, make your own waves.....make whirlpool if you must but never drown in your your sorrow....you are better than this, you are bigger than this....you are an ocean...you make waves....remember who you are and what you are capable of....be it, do it, make it....
